Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Duties:
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide expert advice on medication administration and potential side effects to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Conduct medication therapy management and review patient profiles for appropriateness of therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Compound medications as needed, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication inventories.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians in their daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
- Educate patients on proper medication usage, including dosage, timing, and potential interactions.
- Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and pharmacy systems relevant to patient care.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Experience in acute care settings is preferred; pharmacy residency is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and pharmacology as it relates to patient care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is advantageous.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry standards.
