Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare environment. The Pharmacist will be responsible for compounding medications, providing patient service, and supporting acute care initiatives.

Duties:
  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Provide expert advice on medication administration and potential side effects to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct medication therapy management and review patient profiles for appropriateness of therapy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
  • Compound medications as needed, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication inventories.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in their daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Educate patients on proper medication usage, including dosage, timing, and potential interactions.
  • Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and pharmacy systems relevant to patient care.

Requirements:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in acute care settings is preferred; pharmacy residency is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and pharmacology as it relates to patient care.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is advantageous.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry standards.
