Job Description:
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare environment. The Pharmacist will be responsible for compounding medications, providing patient service, and supporting acute care initiatives.

Duties:

Prepare and dispense medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
Provide expert advice on medication administration and potential side effects to patients and healthcare professionals.
Conduct medication therapy management and review patient profiles for appropriateness of therapy.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
Compound medications as needed, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication inventories.
Supervise pharmacy technicians in their daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
Educate patients on proper medication usage, including dosage, timing, and potential interactions.
Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and pharmacy systems relevant to patient care.

Requirements:

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
Experience in acute care settings is preferred; pharmacy residency is a plus.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and pharmacology as it relates to patient care.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is advantageous.
